San Diego's Rising Tide Collaborate Shoot in Coronado
I’m excited to share the images from this wonderful shoot that was put together by such lovely creative in San Diego! Over the course of a year, I have gotten to know so many wonderful ladies through the Rising Tide Society. This group has been a huge encouragement for myself, and my business. Each month there is a meeting to go over certain topics relating our small businesses. All around the country and some parts of the world, small groups gather to do the same thing and this shoot was part of that!
Each group around the country/world had different vendors come together to create a shoot that represented their town and group of people. Since we are based out of San Diego, our group went with a Mexican/Boho theme on the beach (Because when you think of San Diego the Beach most likely comes to mind)! This Beach (Coronado) also happens to be my favorite San Diego beach!
Not only did this collaborative shoot give us all an opportunity to display our work for others to see our creativity and what we have to offer to the industry, we we’re able to get to know others even more, and connect with each other. I’m so thankful for all the people I have met and most importantly, am able to connect with people in a non-competitive environment. This is the motivation behind what the Rising Tide Society stands for, and if you haven’t seen the popular hashtag “CommunityOverCompetition yet, be on the lookout because this mindset is growing continually and you should definitely jump on board! “A Rising Tide Lifts All Boats”

I absolutely loved taking pictures of these two! There were so much genuine smiles and laughter shared between these two. They’re definitely one of the most affectionate and adoring couples I know!
The sun fell perfectly behind Silver Strand Beach for this session, creating a romantic feel in these photos. This spot is absolutely stunning for pictures. If you ever get a chance to go, on one side is the ocean (usually filled with people) and the bayside is usually deserted (definitely more intimate and quiet). This is perfect for photo shoots as you don’t have to worry about people being in the background of your photos or in the way of a place you wanted to take a picture.
I’m so thankful I was able to photograph this couple and capture their love for each other. We could not have asked for a better day and amazing sunshine. I was getting a little worried because even though San Diego is known for its sunshine, earlier in the day it was a bit cloudy. Thankfully when it was time for their shoot, the sun was shinning so bright and lasted up until the last few pictures where it sunk in behind the clouds. Believe it or not, the following day bore rain showers that were desperately needed in Southern California.
